Handwrytten vs Simply Noted: plans, card prices and postage

Handwrytten vs Simply Noted: one method, two ways to pay

Handwrytten vs Simply Noted is not a choice of method, because each says robots hold real pens to write your cards. The difference is how you pay. As read on October 24, 2026, Handwrytten Pro is $449 a month on Pay Monthly, plus $1.99 a card and postage. Simply Noted sells 100 folded cards for $362.00 with postage, or an Unlimited plan at $497 a month flat.

Handwrytten says its custom-designed robots hold real pens and are capable of writing nearly 750 notes a day. Simply Noted says its 220+ handwriting robots write every note, card and letter with a real ballpoint pen. Both are the vendors' own descriptions. Thanks.io, covered below, prints digital script instead.

Card prices and plans side by side

Handwrytten shows Pay Monthly and Pay Annually prices for each business plan, and bills monthly plans every 4 weeks. Its pricing page does not say whether Pay Annually is one payment. Simply Noted has no billing toggle.

Handwrytten lists two starting prices for a card, $3.75 on its pricing page and $3.25 in its FAQ; Thanks.io vs Handwrytten quotes both. Handwrytten's plan table lists cards only, while Simply Noted also sells 6x11 postcards, 100 credits for $347.00 with postage.

Postage, delivery and tracking

Handwrytten mails every note First Class and says domestic delivery typically takes 2 to 7 business days. Its guarantee page says mailed cards without boxes go by standard First Class mail, which carries no tracking. Simply Noted says USPS typically delivers within 3 to 7 business days. Both give estimates, not dates. Handwrytten's bulk uploads use Excel rather than CSV.

On tracking, Simply Noted's pages disagree. Its plan card lists mail tracking, its FAQ says there is none because it uses Forever Stamps, and its guarantee page says tracking is not available once USPS has the item.

Guarantees and credit rules

Handwrytten's guarantee page offers 100% money back for 90 days after purchase, with exclusions that include address errors the sender supplies. Canceling a Handwrytten subscription expires any credits accrued at the end of the final billing month, so use them first.

Simply Noted's guarantee page gives 30 days, while its refund policy gives 15 days for items not yet shipped or processed. Its credits are non-refundable once expired.

Where Thanks.io fits as a third option

Pick Handwrytten for pen-written notes on a business plan that includes an API, QR code tracking and multistep campaigns. Pick Simply Noted for credit packs with no plan fee. Pick Thanks.io when digital script is enough and postage should sit inside one rate.

A Thanks.io notecard is $3.04 on Pay as you go (First Class, per its help center) or $1.83 on Business at $49 a month (Standard Mail), postage included. Its API is on every plan, and Business adds webhooks and the Zapier, Make and Integrately connectors.

Thanks.io, the third option here, starts on Pay as you go at $0 a month with a $10 signup credit. Handwrytten and Simply Noted also offer free samples. See Thanks.io vs Simply Noted for that pair, or best handwritten note service for business for more services.
